OUR PROJECTS

Our interventions of aid have the following objectives:

Education:

Offering to the children and to the adolescents the possibility to benefit from a basic education and to abandon the rifle in order to take in their hands the pen and the books;

Water - Agriculture:

Providing the people with clean water to drink, in order to avoid die problems of thirst, of diseases and of migration from their own villages. Providing the shepherds and die farmers with the possibility to water their animals, so incrementing the cattle and the start of a minimum economic exchange;

Health:

equipping an out-patients' department to provide an essential first-aid to the sick people, especially children and women, and to face die major local diseases (cholera, gastro-enteritis, malaria), which are the cause of a high infantile mortality;

Pacification:

A nation cannot live and work without being in peace; since Somalia is divided by the civil war and by numerous clans, we deem it of primary importance to offer our co-operation for the pacification of this territory;

Demobilization:

POOLA decided to demobilize young men with guns, which were being used for ill purposes, which prompted POOLA to think of ways to offer these young men an alternative to a better life.

Women empowerment:

improving women position in the Somalia society through the implementation of the educational and vocational training programmes; improving the access to micro-scale financial resources for women under the micro-entrepreneurship development projects.

Globalization of charity:

These small projects of ours intend to be a sign of care and hope for those populations who live in situations of absolute misery, and whom we feel as our “brothers”. Therefore, our charity intends to help contemporaneously the “poor” who are far away and those who are close to us, uniting them ideally. Moreover, we believe in the cooperation in the humanity.
