WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY DONE

Since 1994, up to now, we have done:

School:

Construction and implementation of five schools in the villages (Warmoley, Adeyley, Magurte, Doonka and Omar-Bere) in Afgoy district , for a total of 2000 children; and we give salary for the teachers of the schools;

Wells:

Construction of 2 wells for the needs of the population of rural villages and for the beverage of the cattle; Purchase of 1 generator far the functioning of the well pump;

Pacification:

Promise of pacification between the clans .

Demobilization:

POOLA decided to demobilize young men with guns, which were being used for ill purposes, which prompted POOLA to think of ways to offer these young men an alternative to a better life.

Health:

Women’s health programs: the MCH clinic will provide pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children.

• distribution of medicine to face the cholera epidemic and the gastrointestinal diseases;

• programmes of education related to health and hygiene for women;

• construction of two outpatients’ departments and purchase of medicines.

Agriculture:

• improvement of the traditional methods of agriculture in the rainy areas;

• construction of wells and irrigation systems;

• supply of two tractors with ploughs and harrows;
